I recommend this book without reservation. I love a love story, especially a multifaceted one because LOVE is multifaceted. I appreciate that LASS explores love as it evolves….

Love At Second Sight is the perfect romance novel that explores many relatable themes of life. Ayoka B. writes about the importance of keeping your heart open and using your pain as inspiration for art. The entire novel is full of imagery so it feels like you're watching a movie! This page-turner is a must read for all romance lovers.

When a poet writes fiction it’s a masterpiece. This is an incredibly written work, where the imagery forces you to feel your way through the novel. Love at Second Sight is a beautiful depiction of all the different types of love that sustain us. The themes of this book make it a must read and discuss with all the people you love. A phenomenal first for author Ayoka B.

A compelling story, vivid in description as readers visualize life and love through Shane's experience. Reinforced through Art, Poetry, Song, this book triggers thought, reflection and emotion. I found myself empathizing with several characters in the story including Shane, Mike and Anthony, making the stories told relatable. Moreso, conflicts between career choices, parenting and locale are real life decisions that we all have to balance. Great read! Retrospective, as you ponder throughout the book: where you were and what decisions you made, should you have made or did you make at these crossroads in your life!

A Rollercoaster ride of emotions!! When I say I BUCKLE UP...that's exactly what I mean. I was immediately pulled in and couldn't stop reading. The characters in this book are so realistic and relatable.... You can't read this book and NOT talk about it which makes it PERFECT for Book clubs!!
